| Abstract: | The engineering properties of soil subgrade layer need to be improved to make soil good for construction by using stabilization method. Two subgrade soils were stabilized by using Portland cement and lime admixtures. The complete work was conducted for the purpose of evaluating the subgrade strength and the cost effectiveness of stabilizer usage. After variation of cement and lime, from percent to percent, stabilized samples were prepared at their maximum dry densities and optimum moisture contents. They were cured and tested for evaluating its durability, volume, moisture content and change in moisture characteristics, unconfined compressive strength and California bearing ratio (CBR). |
