Fabric defect examination is important and essential for quality control in the textile industry. Traditionally, fabric inspection is done by humans to assure the quality of fabric. Typical web material (fabric) is 1–3 m wide and is driven with speeds ranging from 10 to 20 m/min. However, they cannot detect by humans more than 60% of the overall defects for the fabric if it is moving faster than 5 m/min. This results in degradation in the quality of fabric as well as the efficiency of the production. To increase the quality and production efficiency automated inspection should be carried out. Currently, the existing inspection systems are too expensive for small scale companies. So, in this paper automatic vision-based is proposed that can be adapted to different types of fabric inspection with benefits of low cost, excellent inspection and increase in efficiency up to 98%. The algorithms proposed in this papar showed better results for different type of fabrics
