Abstract:
A simple, Accurate, precise method was developed for the simultaneous estimation of the Albuterol and Ipratropium in Tablet dosage form. Chromatogram was run through Std Altima 150 x 4.6 mm, 5m. Mobile phase containing Buffer0.1%OPA: Acetonitrile taken in the ratio 60:40 was pumped through column at a flow rate of 1 ml/min. Buffer used in this method was 0.1% Perchloric acid buffer. Temperature was maintained at 30°C. Optimized wavelength selected was 270 nm. Retention time of Albuterol and Ipratropium were found to be 2.385 min and 3.218 min. %RSD of the Albuterol and Ipratropium were and found to be 0.5and 0.4 respectively. %Recovery was obtained as 100.11% and 99.71% for Albuterol and Ipratropium respectively. LOD, LOQ values obtained from regression equations of Albuterol and Ipratropium were 0.11, 0.33 and 0.01, 0.03 respectively. Regression equation of Albuterol is y = 6250.x + 1756, y = 12114x + 1191 of Ipratropium. Retention times were decreased and run time was decreased, so the method developed was simple and economical that can be adopted in regular Quality control test in Industries.
