Abstract

This paper presents an in-depth exploration of Veritas Volume Manager (VxVM), a robust and flexible storage management solution designed for enterprise environments that demand high data integrity, availability, and performance. It highlights the critical role of volume management in modern IT systems and examines VxVM’s architecture, including its core components and object model.
