Multi component reactions (MCRs), dihydropyridine derivatives, conventional, mortar pestle, ultra sonication, microwave irradiation
In consideration of biological and pharmaceutical importance of dihydropyridine derivatives, in the present work some dihydropyridine derivatives were synthesized in different solvents. The reaction was also performed in absence and presence of ammonium iron(ii) sulphate used as catalyst to find out effect of catalyst on reaction time and yield. The synthesis of dihydropyridine derivatives were also carried out by different methods like conventional, mortar pestle, ultra sonication and microwave irradiation. For the structure conformation of synthesized compounds, various analytical spectroscopic techniques such as 1H NMR, infra red and mass were used. The effect of solvents and catalyst on reaction time and % yield also studied.
