The patients who were hospitalized with COVID-19 are those who especially suffering from severe respiratory and systemic manifestations, come under the spectrum of the acutely ill medical population, there is increased risk of coagulation of blood & shown to cause various thrombic disorders in the patients. Thrombotic complications seem to emerge as an important issue in patients infected with COVID-19. Preliminary reports , clinical and laboratory findings on COVID-19 patients include thrombocytopenia, elevated D-dimer, prolonged prothrombin time, and disseminated intravascular coagulation. Present review is about impact of coagulation on COVID-19 infected patients basing upon the past review of previous coronavirus epidemics caused by the severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus (SARS-CoV-1) and the Middle East Respiratory Syndrome coronavirus (MERS-CoV) associated cogulation disorders and its implications for treatment.
