Bharatanatyam, a temple-dance-form got revived with a steep change in the perspective of the common man in Tamil Nadu, which can be mainly attributed to the exuberance of artists and Nattuvanars who performed classical, semi-classical, and folk dance-forms in Tamil films which slowly removed the social stigma attached with that dance-form
