Potophysical properties of β-naphthylamine doped in different polymer matrices

In the present work photophysics of β-naphthylamine doped in polymers viz. Polyvinyl alcohol (PVA), Polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA) and Polyvinyl acetate (PVAc), has been performed and a comparison has been made with the corresponding studies in aqueous solutions. A comparison of the absorption and emission spectra in polymers with the corresponding spectra in aqueous solutions shows that in the polymers β-naphthylamine is the absorbing and emitting species wavelength dependence.
