Leakage Current Protection, Hotline washing of insulators
Major concern of this study is to provide the protection against leakage current. This report addressed opportunities for hot line washing of insulators. After analyzing of the current methods and procedures, a root cause analysis was conducted to identify the reasons for entering leakage current, recommendations and suggestions were given to provide leakage current protection while performing on live line washing. As the main concern is to protect the gun operator and hot-line kit against leakage current. We have collected all the information about leakage current phenomenon which enters in the system. This leakage current enter in the system is hazardous for human body (gun operator). Therefore, to reduce such cases we have design a circuit which can fully protects the gun operator against leakage current by automatically shut down the system from main supply.
