Reforms in the higher education sector have been one of the uppermost primacies of the Government in India. Endless efforts have been taken uninterruptedly to efficiently and effectively revamp the Indian education system to make provision for impartial access to education. However, reforms can only be possible if it is implemented appropriately, which can be considered as tremendously challenging task. The implementation of the reforms can be achieved based on the level of acceptance of the reforms by teachers mentally and giving life to it. In this backdrop, the study is the need for the day to know the level of acceptance and perception about the reforms among the teachers of higher education. Hence, the study is conducted to know the perception of higher education teachers about the challenges they face in the profession and makes an effort to know their interpretations about the objectives of higher educational reforms. It also throws light on their views about managing their academic developments and achievements. The study is particularly based on primary data by administering structured questions through interview method and secondary data in general by using various research articles, reports, websites, etc., Random sampling technique is used for the study by considering the respondent sample comprising Assistant Professors, Associate Professors and Professors teaching in both under graduate and post graduate Commerce and Management colleges in Mysuru city, Karnataka. The sample size for the study is targeted to hundred respondents including both UG and PG colleges.
