Conia-ene reaction, an intramolecular addition of enols to alkynes or alkenes, has witnessed a lot of progress, and some interesting catalytic protocols responsible for milder reaction conditions have emerged. Conia-ene reaction is a beneficial reaction in organic synthesis due to its high atom economy and efficiency. In this review, mechanism and applications of recent advances in the metal-catalysed Conia-ene reaction is discussed.
