Abstract: On the basis of composition, Amlycure DS syrup contains better and more scientific anti-hepatotoxic herbals drugs (pharmacological investigations of individual herbal drugs have been established scientifically) than Yakriamrit Syrup. Amlycure DS and Yakriamrit Syrup both produced superoxide radical scavenging activity. The findings indicated that Amlycure DS and Yakriamrit Syrup both were hepatoprotective. It has been concluded that hepatoprotective activity of the Amlycure DS and Yakriamrit Syrup (Phenolic and tannins of the formulation contribute to scavenging and inhibition of lipid oxidation). Amlycure DS and Yakriamrit Syrup (herbal Syrup formulation showed reversal effects which was clearly indicated by reddish coloration, normal anatomical architecture of the hepatocytes. Amlycure DS formulations showed a remarkable anti- hepatotoxic activity but comparatively lesser anti-hepatotoxic effects then standard reference drug i.e. Silymarin. It has been concluded that Amlycure DS and Yakriamrit Syrup herbal Syrup formulation produced therapeutic effects like attenuation of depletion of glutathione; membrane stabilization (stop necrosis); increased proteins synthesis (RNA repair); Anti-oxidant (stops lipid per-oxidation) activity.
