Abstract: The traditional process of taking attendance in educational institutions and workplaces has been time-consuming and prone to errors. In recent years, the emergence of smart technologies has revolutionized attendance management systems. This abstract presents an overview of a Smart Attendance System, designed to streamline and automate the attendance tracking process, thereby improving efficiency and accuracy.The Smart Attendance System leverages advanced technologies such as biometrics, Internet of Things (IoT), and artificial intelligence (AI) to create a seamless and secure attendance management solution. It eliminates the need for manual attendance records, reducing administrative burden and minimizing the chances of fraudulent practices.The system utilizes biometric authentication methods, such as fingerprint or facial recognition, to uniquely identify individuals. By integrating IoT devices, such as smart cards or wearable devices, with the system, attendance data can be automatically captured in real-time, ensuring accurate and timely tracking.
