The changes witnessed in the modern workplace have been driven by technology, globalization, and the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, resulting in hybrid work culture becoming prevalent. The term hybrid work culture is referred to as a mixture of remote and onsite working arrangements. This type of working arrangement has gained popularity with the young generation of employees, specifically Generation Z , as these employees can easily adapt to digital technologies and embrace flexibility at the workplace. Therefore, the main aim of this research is to explore the effect of hybrid work culture on employee engagement and Organizational Citizenship Behaviour among Gen Z workers. This study will consider the relationship between several elements including flexibility at the workplace, digital communication tools, and management support in the hybrid work environment and their effect on employee engagement and OCB. In this case, employee engagement is regarded as an important concept since it involves the commitment, enthusiasm, and participation of the employees in their jobs. On the other hand, OCB is voluntary behaviour performed by the employees beyond job requirements. As per the findings, the hybrid work culture had a positive and significant effect on employee engagement and Organizational Citizenship Behaviour. From the results, it can be seen that most respondents are happy with the flexibility of the hybrid work culture and find it helpful in achieving a balanced life and work schedule. Furthermore, digital tools such as Teams, Zoom, and Google Meet have improved communication among employees. On the other hand, some limitations associated with the hybrid work culture are identified from the current study, such as communication gap, lack of personal interaction, isolation among employees. From the discussion above, it is evident that the implementation of hybrid work culture can greatly increase engagement and encourage good organizational behaviour among Gen Z employees. It is important for companies to establish structured policies on hybrid work practices, strengthen digital communication channels, and offer consistent managerial guidance to ensure maximum benefit from hybrid work environments. The findings of the current study contribute greatly to the body of knowledge in understanding how organizations can leverage the benefits of hybrid work environments.
